I believe that the H1N1 flu was a lot of media hype and too much too late. I think we should have been prepared and informed last spring to prepare for late summer/early fall (school year start).

Yes, we did receive the season flu vaccine. I receive it annually because I work in health care and this year I decided to get my daughter vaccinated because she started high school and more students had the flu than usual.

No, I did not and neither did my daughter get vaccinated for the H1N1 flu. We were both vaccinated for the seasonal flu and I decided that we did not need the H1N1 vaccine.

We are washing our hands more frequently. Using antibacterial wipes to keep door knobs and handles clean. Using and disposing of used tissues right away.

I know that it is a strain of flu that is most dangerous for young children and the elderly. I learned about it from reading information at my doctors office. I did not visit the CDC website for this information.

My Children will not be getting the swine flu vaccine because I do not believe the there is sufficient efficacy test to prove that this new vaccine is safe.
